Crinkled Bamboo, Inspirational Quote Challenge # 4

I finally got to make my card for Inspirational Quote Challenge # 4:

I love this quote and try to remind myself that it is always possible to be kind, even when I don’t necessarily feel like it.

This card was made with a scrap from my desk. Originally, I had stamped the Stampin’ Up! background Bamboo II in River Rock on white, but decided not to use it.  I really didn’t like the way the River Rock looked on the white, so I sponged Vintage Photo Distress Ink over the whole panel.  It looked OK, but it needed something more.  I decided to crinkle the paper up and then separated the layers, trying to get it as thin as possible without tearing it.  I mounted it on Chocolate Chip, stamped the PSX Bamboo & Birds in Chocolate Chip and then mounted it on a Kraft card base.  The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up! Teeny Tiny Wishes and I stamped it in Chocolate Chip on Kraft.  I punched the sentiment and Chocolate Chip mat with Stampin’ Up! Oval punches.
