Batik is Hot!, 35/100

Standard

I made this fun card for my daughter Marisa.  Her favorite color is orange, so I used Tangerine Tango, Yo Yo Yellow and Melon Mambo for my color palette.  The Stampin’ Up! set Beautiful Batik was perfect for this card, the lines through the images allow the sponged color to show through.  For the image panel, I randomly stamped a couple of small stamps in Yo Yo Yellow on Whisper White cardstock.  I inked up the flower stamp in VersaMark, stamped over the yellow and clear embossed.   I sponged over the flowers in Tangerine Tango, Yo Yo Yellow and Melon Mambo.  I matted the panel with Yo Yo Yellow and mounted on a Melon Mambo card base.  I stamped the sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Pendant Park in Melon Mambo and punched with Stampin’ Up! Oval Punches.  The Tangerine Tango label was from my stash.

Here is another card I finished up for the 100in100 challenge from leftovers on my desk. The embossed panel was done in early March, I clear embossed the images from Stampin’ Up Beautiful Batik and then sponged with Soft Sky, Baja Breeze, Tempting Turquoise, Bermuda Bay.  I triple matted the panel with Bermuda Bay and White, added the ribbon and sentiment from Stampin’ Up Pendant Park and mounted on a Naturals White card base.
