Extremely Hot Birthday! Apron Strings & Dare to Get Dirty Challenge Card #2

Standard

Extremely Hot Birthday!

I snuck another card in today between laundry and watching the Olympics.  This was a fun one to make, but a bear to photograph! Sorry for the glare, but I used Glossy cardstock and it was too dark to photograph without the flash.  This one was for the Dare to Get Dirty Challenge #2 and Apron Strings Pinterest Challenge #19.  Here is the Apron Strings Inspiration Photo:

CAS Embedded Embossing Birthday Candles, A Personal Favorite

Standard

Tonight I have another one of my personal favorite cards.  I made this card last summer for Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge  SC343.  The first thing I thought of when I saw the sketch was candles, so I made this quick birthday card using the embedded embossing technique.  I cut the rectangles in Real Red, Brilliant Blue, Orange and Green and adhered them to the card base.  I ran the front of the card through my Big Shot using the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.  I used the Stampin’ Up! Small Oval Punch for the Yo Yo Yellow flames.  The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Everything, stamped in Real Red and double matted in Yo Yo Yellow and Whisper White.  This is a really quick and easy card, perfect for a kid’s birthday!
