Triple Layer Background Bamboo Lantern

Standard

Bamboo Lantern

This background technique was last week’s Splitcoaststampers Technique Lovers Challenge TLC388 ~ Triple Stamping/Seamless Tiers.  I love this technique and had not done it in ages, so it was a fun challenge.  I knew I wanted to use the Stampin’ Up! Bamboo II Background stamp and decided to pair it with a paper lantern made with the Stampin’ Up! Ornament and Circle Punch and my paper crimper.  I didn’t have any gold floss, so I used my Encore Gold Ink Pad and a piece of baker’s twine to make my own.  The fringe is a scrap of satin ribbon that  shreaded.
